Great contrast and a nice scene. I may have lopped off the bottom though where the sticks sticking out of the water.
Beautiful b & w tones and textures in this lovely scene. I like the crop as it is; IMHO, lopping the bottom would make the compo too symmetrical. The sticks also provide foreground elements to give depth and distance to the picture.
